Since at least 1762, agriculture, craftsmanship and hospitality have characterised this special place. The historic buildings have been carefully preserved over generations and retain the character of a typical Zug farm.

For decades, the Talacher was renowned far beyond the region, not least for its cuisine and its traditional distillery. To this day, the historic buildings bear witness to a place that is closely linked to the region’s development.

For us, this Bauernhof Zug is far more than just a restaurant. It is a special place with a long history, which we wish to preserve with great respect whilst at the same time carrying it forward into the future. Our aim is to create a place where people enjoy coming together to savour good food, celebrate, relax and share special moments. In doing so, we combine the history and character of the Bauernhof with contemporary cuisine, personalised hospitality and fresh ideas. Following an intensive period of planning and development, we are delighted to begin this new chapter together with our team and our guests, and to continue writing the story of the Bauernhof.
